Undergraduate Conditional Admission Program Undergraduate conditional admission to the University of South Florida allows a student to receive an official letter from the university to be used for government scholarships and/or visa purposes. The student applies through and attends the English Language Institute (ELI) first. The student is first conditionally accepted to USF and attends the ELI. Then when the university requirements are met, the student can then be fully admitted to USF for the next available semester. For a list of the USF undergraduate programs, go to http://www.registrar.usf.edu/admissions/majors/. To be granted conditional admission to USF, the applicant must: - Complete the Undergraduate Application for Admission and pay the university application fee ($30) online at http://facts23.facts.org/admissions/jsp/daapptypesf.jsp
- Apply to the English Language Institute and give the ELI number the U Number (student number) given to you by USF (under step 1)
- Send translated and evaluated transcripts to the English Language Institute, 4202 E. Fowler Avenue CPR 107, Tampa, FL 33620
For full admission to the university to be granted, students must submit: - an acceptable TOEFL score OR TOEFL Waiver Letter from the ELI

- all documents by the deadline for the intended term
The ELI offers a TOEFL Waiver Program. A TOEFL Waiver for USF will be granted to any ELI student in Level 5 who passes the CLEAR test. You can take the CLEAR test only once. To be eligible to take the CLEAR, applicants must: - be registered in or have completed level 5.
- show acceptable mid-term grades.

- complete the TOEFL Waiver application.
The TOEFL requirement may be waived by the university if the student obtains the minimum required score on the SAT Critical Reading section or the ACT Reading & English sections.
