Graduate Conditional Admission Program

The ELI’s Graduate Conditional Admission program to the University of South Florida provides the opportunity for prospective graduate students to apply to a master/doctoral graduate program like any other applicant; they will submit all required documents except for the TOEFL and/or GRE/GMAT scores. It will allow a student to receive an official acceptance letter from the university to be used for government scholarships and/or visa purposes. The students will enroll at the English Language Institute at the University of South Florida for the period of time it takes to prepare them for the TOEFL and/or GRE/GMAT exams.

To be granted conditional admission to USF, the applicant must do the following:

  1. Submit the English Language Institute online application and pay the application fee ($100 or $125)
  2. Submit the FACTS Online Graduate Application and the graduate application fee ($30)
  3. Send translated and evaluated transcripts to the English Language Institute, 4202 E. Fowler Avenue CPR 107, Tampa, FL 33620
  4. If you require an I-20 from ELI to obtain your student visa (F-1) please submit the following:
    • Submit a copy of your financial guarantee or government scholarship letter or bank statement
    • Submit a copy of your passport

For full admission to the university to be granted, students must submit:

  1. an acceptable TOEFL score OR TOEFL Waiver Letter from the ELI
  2. an acceptable GRE or GMAT score (Note: Graduate programs may waive the requirement, contact the program.)
  3. all documents by the deadline for the intended term
