Why Study at the USF ELI? 
We offer a mix of programs that can meet the needs of any student. Our 14-week Intensive English Program begins each January, May and September. In addition, it is possible to study at the ELI for the first 7 weeks of each semester. We can also design Special Programs to meet a variety of language needs. Our expert teachers will do whatever they can to help you meet your language and personal development goals. Our core faculty all have at least a master's degree, and are up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and materials. Students at the ELI take part in a wide variety of outside-of-class activities. Typical activities include visiting Disney World and Universal Studios, trips to Tarpon Springs and Ybor City and attending sporting events. We also offer many academic activities, including test preparation workshops and tutoring sessions. Tampa has it all: culture, shopping, sports, entertainment, and great weather! Students at the ELI get full access to all of the wonderful facilities that the University of South Florida has to offer. At the ELI, we understand the importance of practicing with fluent speakers of English. Our conversation leaders program makes sure that students have plenty of chances to talk with English speakers.
